The Uganda Football League today started with a match between Uganda Christian University (UCU) against Kampala International University (KIU) at the UCU new pitch.
The game kicked off at 3pm today with a goalless session in the first half. However, both teams managed to send balls to the nets of the opponent teams ending the game with a 1-1 draw.
Odeke Isaac Paul scored for KIU at the start of the second half, until UCU’s Muzeifa Barigye reiterated with a goal in favour of his team invoking ululations from the numerous supporters of UCU.
The UCU coach Jackson Nyima is content that his team played well. He, however, hopes for a better performance in the remaining games.
“We hope to improve in the next game,” he says.
UCU, KIU, Makerere University (MUK) and Busitema University are in table A of the tournament.
There are 3 games this week, that will be crowned with a match between Makerere and Busitema University.
