Makerere Ladies Basketball win Gold in South Africa

Makerere University Ladies Basketball team are the all African University 3×3 basketball Champions in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The team has won gold at the 8th Games Event in African Sports.

The All-Africa University Games is a regional multi-sport event representing
Africa, organized for University athletes by the African University Sports Federation (FASU). The games were first held in 1975 in Accra, Ghana.

IMG-20160630-WA0037The All Africa University Games usually take place at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in South Africa.

During this event, various African Universities compete in 9 sports disciplines such as Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Football, Netball, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. The games that started on June 26th and will end today on July 2nd.

Makerere played against University of Zimbabwe in the Finals and won 19:17 in overtime.
We congratulate the ladies.
