It is official! The Makerere University Endowment annual run is back! This time bigger and better. as the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga will be the chief runner.
The run is organised by the Makerere University Endowment Fund ( MakEF ) – an entity of Makerere University established in 2014 and mandated to achieve her long term financial sustainability efforts.
The run, according to officials at the Endowment Fund offices, will take place on Sunday March 25th.
Earlier this Month, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe the Makerere University Vice Chancellor VC revealed that he led the Makerere University delegation to Bulange.
“I thank the Katikiro of Buganda, @cpmayiga [Charles Peter Mayiga] for welcoming us and accepting our invitation to be the Chief Runner at the #MakRun2018 on March 25. Come and join the Katikiro run for Mak Students’ Centre,” Prof Nawangwe Twitted.
The Run is aimed at supporting the Fund’s project of erecting a multibillion Students Centre that will be the meeting point for students.
The estimated cost is UGX15 billion. The Students Centre is aimed at enhancing the quality of student life and experience.
All proceeds will go towards the Endowment Fund Premier Project for putting up a Students Centre to replace the Students Guild Canteen. The MAK Students Centre is aimed at enhancing the quality of student life and experience.
