Makerere University Business School proved yet again why they are not only business giants but also a formidable force in the football world after storming the finals of the University Football league for the second time in a row. The semi-finals were a pretty much an easy trail and sail for the reigning champions.
MUBS humbled Ndejje University in an epic tie that was played from the neutral grounds of Luzira to avoid chaos. Through their talisman, Kyega Derrick who found the back of the net in the dying minutes of the game making him the hero and saving the day for MUBS.
After dominating and having the greater possession, the Nakawa dwellers had failed to find the back net but finally were able to conceive a goal from their perfect game.
The man of the match accolade was given to Kyega Derrick who managed to salvage a goal that won the match.
Ndejje had a good game too and managed to send Dhaira MUBS keeper a few shots that kept him busy. The win implies that MUBS will be the first to take up their position in the finals as they plan to take on another win of the league.
The next to take up their slot in the finals will be determined today between Makerere University and Uganda Martyrs University that will take place today at 2pm at the Maroon grounds.
The finals that will take place n the 7th at Namboole.
