Lots of good things are happening to Ndejje University as days of their 19th graduation draws near with the latest being summoning of one of their student Mugisha Albert by the Federation of Uganda Football Association(FUFA). FUFA summoned Mugisha to join the Uganda cranes team that will face Ghana tomorrow and he will be playing in the mid field position.
Mugisha has been summoned after exhibiting skill and expertise as a footballer in the Big League and Azam Premier League among others where he has been playing for the Ndejje elites.
According to Mugisha, this has been one of his dreams to play for the national team.
“Since childhood, I have always dreamt of playing for a big team and it’s a pleasure to represent my country this time round. Although it is a big task, I hope things will get better,” Mugisha told Campus Bee.
Ndejje head coach Johnson Kawenyera says Mugisha has been a disciplined and committed player. He scored several goals for Ndejje elites during his play off while at campus.
“Mugisha helped us score a number of goals and was so disciplined. He is a very talented boy and we wish him all the best in the cranes team,” He said.
Mugisha has been a footballer since primary school but his football playing tactics shone brighter while in Ordinary level high school at St, Joseph’s SSS Naggalama in Mukono. He later attended St. Marys’s College Kisubi (SMACK) for his A’ level where he was part of the smack squad well known for scooping Coca Cola high school championships trophies.
Mugisha is a finalist (fourth year) student currently pursuing a bachelor in civil engineering at the main campus of Ndejje University in Luwero.
