The University Football League (UFL) management has put the blame on Kyambogo University for failing to provide adequate security during the football game between Kyambogo University and Makerere University that ended prematurely last week.
Below is the notice by the UFL management;
Independent Disciplinary Committee awards aborted Kyambogo University v Makerere University match to Makerere University due to Kyambogo University’s failure to provide adequate security.
Committee also ruled that Kyambogo University meets medical expenses of those injured and that Kyambogo University identify their students who participated in causing the match to be aborted and take disciplinary action against them.
It also faulted both Kyambogo and Makerere fans for fighting and indiscipline.
The MUK and KYU students turned rowdy and started hurling stones at each other ending up injuring officials and fellow students.
