Recently February, the month of love started with the news of a handsome gentleman who was spotted carrying a bouquet of roses on its very first day perhaps going to see a beloved one.
Then on fifth February when the freshers reported the Bazaar commenced that night. Since then, quite a huge number of continuing students have been going to the Bazaar grounds every night to make friends with the new students shopping.
And the whispers in the air revolve around “kwetega”, whatever that might mean.
It seems like at the Bazaar someone might find a potential valentines day date, if in case they are interested in celebrating the day. After all, there is somewhat a big number of new students to make friends with.
Everyone is already talking about the 14th of February like never before, maybe because the last years valentines was at a time when the lockdown was still on and campus couples missed out on seeing each other.
It’s really amazing that even the lecturers have already known of the uncommon students’ excitement about the day this time round.
On Monday 7th February in a certain class in the Banda based university, a lecture was quoted promising to give his students an assignment on Valentines day to be handed in that same evening. “ When is the valentines day? Next Monday?… I will give an assignment that day and you will hand it in on that evening. The student’s reaction was utterly a fun one to pay attention to.
And the gents are already treating their queens with such exceptional care. Today, a one gentleman took his woman on an ice cream date in one of the Ice cream points in Banda. After the ice cream he was seen carrying the lady’s fancy bag ( it has a chain so he carried the bag on the shoulder ) as they moved out to the streets.
The girls around the place were all in “awww” and in admiration of the lovely couple. Valentines day behavior already began.
Everyone holding hands everywhere is now the trend of the week, till the great lover’s day comes to pass. Love is beautiful. As the day comes henceforth, enjoy it wisely.
