BADRU KATUMBA
Makerere University students today prayed for Al-haji Nasser Ntegge Ssebagala’s aka Seya broken English and asked God to wash away the sin of ‘broken English’ from his servant.
They also kindly asked him to collaborate with Gravity Omutujju to come up with a remix of the latter’s single, “Broken English”. During a political rally under the theme: 30 years of NRM in power: Is it the solution to Uganda’s problem that was held on Thursday at Mary Stuart Hall of residence, the sturbborn Lumumba Hall boys plainly told Seya to hit the studio with his partner in crime, Omutujju to remix the broken English.
It all started when Seya started his speech by greeting the intellectuals “goodmorning” and yet it was evening. This sent the students in to chuckles and giggles. Others shouted: “Seya genda okole remix ya “Broken English” nne Gravity Omutujju ” (loosely translated as “Seya just go and do a remix of “Broken English” with Gravity Omutujju.
The bufalloes killed by Seya became too many for the intellectuals to handle that the students were compelled to lay their hands on Seya’s head as they seemingly prayed for God to wash away Seya’s broken English.
