Bank of Uganda (BOU) has officially opened applications for its 2025 internship programme.
According to the announcement released on 28th April, the programme will feature three separate one-month intakes scheduled for June, July, and August 2025.
This structured approach allows the central bank to accommodate students during their university break periods while providing meaningful professional development experiences.
The Bank of Uganda has outlined specific requirements for interested applicants.
Online applications must be accompanied by a cover letter, a recent academic testimonial showing full results for both first and second years of study, and an introductory letter from the applicant’s institution.
The bank emphasized that failure to provide these required attachments may result in disqualification from consideration.
Selection criteria will prioritize academic excellence, with applicants required to maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.6.
Additionally, the bank will consider the relevance of the applicant’s course of study to BOU operations and will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested students have until May 9th, 2025 to submit their applications.
