Our Hostel Discussions Turned Into Romping Sessions

ISAAC RUTA NATUMANYA

Madam Vicky, our statistical inference 1 lecturer announced in a Monday mid-morning lecture that the second course test would be on Wednesday. It had not happened to us for a lecturer to announce such an abrupt test in year one.

I immediately saw fear in Tina’s eyes for we were seated together in this lecture as she looked at me all scared. Tina had been my hi-hi friend really. We had reported to campus at the same damn time and we sat together in our first lecture. Did I tell you that I had helped her locate the room for the next lecture? I knew all the rooms we were supposed to have our lectures from though I was a fresher. How? my cousin was in 3rd year doing the same course as mine here at KYU and had given me a walk through all the rooms on my timetable.

So Tina whispered to me that she had been relaxing on revision and so we should use 4-4-2 for this test.

4-4-2 is a slung we use in our class referring to copying one another in a test. I nodded in approval that it would be okey with me. Being on government sponsorship, Tina believed in me, she knew I was a bwat. I didn’t see Tina’s suggestion of using 4-4-2 as just away to help her pass the test, she had opened the door of inviting her to my room…yikes!

That Monday evening, I called her that we need to pass through the work together for incase we failed to sit together during the test. She agreed that we would discuss Tuesday evening since the test was on Wednesday. She turned up for revision the following day and we agreed that we would sit close and exchange answers in the test.

On Wednesday, we reached RAC building early for we wanted to get close seats. Lucky enough,we sat together in the test room. It was a single compulsory number taking 30marks. If you did advanced mathematics, (walayi skip this next part if you didn’t) once you are given the population standard deviation, you MUST use a Z-value irrespective of the sample size. Here we had the population standard deviation but with a less than 30 sample size. Tina argued that its a t-value for the size is small, she rejected my proposal to use aZ-value. So, I decided to ‘flatter’ her and show her that she has challenged me.I wrote a Tina’s wrong answer knowing the right thing. Just to make her feel bright. Papers returned after a week and we had 0/30!

She gave me a call to say sorry for she knew I scored a tyre (read zero) because it was her. She felt indebted so she came around at my hostel to ‘discuss’. I kid you not, the discussion didn’t even happen…How the babe grabbed me by my collar, threw me down and sat on top of me while kissing me, I’ll never know. The zero simply led me to her thighs!
