News coming in from Mbarara City’s Bishop Stuart University (BSU) indicates jubilation and celebrations in the camp of a one Behangana Emmanuel upon declaring him as the next BSU Guild President.
Behangana, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology has won a highly contested guild presidential race with 722 votes.
Behangana’s competitors Mugabe Alex and Twijukye Coleb scooped 650 and 301 votes respectively.
His victory came few hours after the arrest his opponent Twijukye Coleb ahead of vote counting.
According to some of the students at BSU, they hope that Behangana will restore the relationship between the university administration and the guild leadership in order for them to fully benefit his leadership.
