The Shura Council (Vetting Committee) at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus in Mbale has cleared three students to contest on the post of Guild President 2022/2023 academic year.
Two weeks ago, the university called for fresh nominations of the Guild Presidential aspirants after noting that the post had one candidate due to failure of the other candidate over indiscipline.
In a statement that Campus Bee has seen from the committee, Ssekikofu Usama (Bachelor of Education), Lukwago Shaban (Bachelor of Education ) and Wataka Abdul Rahim (Bachelor of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language ) are the eligible candidates to compete for students’ top seat in 2022/2023 academic year.
The Shura Council vets the competence of the guild aspirants in all elective posts. The council scrutinizes the academic performance and disciplinary graphs of the aspirants.
The Islamic University in Uganda will hold guild elections on 4th June, 2022.
