Stacy Nakanwagi, First Year IT student and the brainchild behind Superb Handiworks emerged winner of SLAU Ms Entrepreneur 2014/2015. She showcased crafts and Jewellery made out of raw materials like soap. The 20-year-old walked away with a Toyota Progress.
Also, 22-year-old Ivan Yiga, a first year student of International Relations voted Mr Entrepreneur. Yiga wowed the judges when he showcased powder and juice made out of vegetables like Spinach, dodo, nakati and others. He also walked away with a Toyota Progress.
This was at the St Lawrence University Entrepreneurship Award that took place on Saturday night. The event was seeking to award students with outstanding business ideas together with great entrepreneurial skills.
