The 71st congregation of Makerere University for the conferment of Degrees and presentation of Diplomas is commencing today Monday 17th May 2021 to Friday 21st May 2021will witness thousands of presumably the most hardworking students in Sub-Haran Africa since the University proclaims the stature.
A total number of 12,550 Graduands would have flocked the Freedom Square for the entire graduation week but with Covid-19 in the picture, a handful will be allowed to witness the conferment and award of various Degrees and Diplomas. Only first class holders, Doctorates and Master’s students will witness the ceremony as the rest attend virtually on digital platforms.
