Rukungiri woman Member of Parliament Hon Midius Natukunda Kaharata recently put a smile on a number of students still stuck in their hostel at Bishop Stuart University (BSU), Mbarara city.
This follows numerous requests made by the students seeking for welfare in these unprecedented times. The legislator then made arrangements to visit the students and find out how they were doing
In a meeting that was held at Excel hostel in Mbarara, the legislator was accompanied by BSU former Guild President Denmark Adios and donated a number of items to the students. These included rice, sugar and other essentials.
While speaking to the students, Hon Natukunda commended the student coordinators for reaching out to inform her of their predicament and informed them that she was always available for them in need of help, urging them to share their concerns on the social media platforms she has formed to ensure constant communication with the young people of Rukungiri District.
She also informed those who want to return home to come up with a list that should be shared with her to organize and ensure that they are permitted to travel back home to be with their families.
