Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has released its orientation schedule for first-year and second-year new entrants for the academic year 2024/2025.
The detailed program spans from Monday, August 5, to Friday, August 9, 2024, and aims to familiarize new students with school procedures, key faculty members, and essential campus resources.
The orientation week kicks off on Monday, August 5, with activities including fee payment procedures, registration, and campus tours, helping new students get acquainted with their new environment.
There will also be meetings with the guild team, aimed at integrating students into the social and academic fabric of the school.
Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to meet the Deans and Heads of various departments. The faculty of Commerce, Business Administration, Management, Computing and Informatics, and other faculties will hold dedicated meetings to discuss expectations and answer student queries.
The week will conclude with sessions focused on e-learning, scheduled on Friday, August 9.
Since MUBS uses blended learning modes (online and physical), these training sessions will be conducted online via Zoom, to equip students with the necessary skills to navigate the university’s digital learning platforms.
Lectures for the new semester are set to commence on Monday, August 12, 2024, with a staggered timetable to help students adjust smoothly to university life.
