The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has reduced the number of people who will attend the 30th graduation ceremony on 10th June, 2022 at the Main Campus in Mbale.
According to the Academic Registrar of the university, Dr Halima Wakabi Akbar, only one person will be allowed to escort the graduand at the graduation ceremony grounds.
Dr Akbar says the limitation has been put in place to reduce the number of the attendees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the pre-coronavirus time, the Islamic University in Uganda was allowing three people to accompany the graduand.
The Academic Registrar has advised the gradunds to pay the graduation fees and all the university dues before 27th May 2022 to appear in the graduation booklet.
Dr Akbar says the graduation fees for the undergraduate as UGX 313,000/US$100, Masters and Post graduate Diploma UGX 375,000/US$110 and PhD UGX 785,000 /US$ 220 exclusive of bank charges.
She says graduands meeting both academic and financial requirements must pick their graduation gown in all IUIU campuses plus at the King Fahad Plaza – Kampala.
The institution is expected to graduate over 2000 students from its four campuses namely Main Campus in Mbale, Kampala Campus in Kampala, Females’ Campus in Wakiso and Arua Campus in Arua.
