Kabale University (KAB) held its 7th graduation ceremony as a public university today June 2, 2023.
The eventful occasion witnessed 1277 students graduate with various academic awards in different disciplines including diplomas, bachelor’s, post graduate and master’s degrees.
Kabale University Chancellor Prof Mondo Kagonyera presided over the ceremony as he conferred upon graduands their respective degrees.
He encouraged the graduates to become more creative and “desist from vices like corruption” after joining the workforce.
One of the day’s highlights was the announcement by the Vice Chancellor regarding opening up a new campus.
The VC Prof Joy Kwesiga imitated, among other targets okayed by the senate, a plan to erect a branch of Kabale University in Rukungiri district, Southwestern Uganda.
The procedure for establishing this branch has already been approved by key stakeholders hence will soon become a work in progress.
Jubilations are all over Kabale municipality as the much anticipated event gathered quite a number of well-wishers.
