Kampala International University (KIU) has officially postponed its 31st Graduation Ceremony.
This, according to an announcement from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Ashibi.
Initially planned for June 14th, the ceremony will now take place on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at the KIU Western Campus in Ishaka, Bushenyi.
In a formal notice dated May 14th, 2025, Prof. J.E. Ashibi, explained that the adjustment was necessary “to allow the graduands sufficient time to complete the clearance procedures and make all necessary preparations for the ceremony.”
The university administration has urged all staff, students, parents, guardians, and members of the university community to adjust their plans accordingly.
Detailed schedules and further instructions regarding the graduation ceremony will be communicated in due course.
“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we finalize arrangements for what promises to be a memorable celebration of our graduands’ achievements,” stated Prof. Ashibi in the announcement.
The rescheduling affects all graduating students across KIU’s various faculties and departments. University officials have assured stakeholders that the postponement will ensure a better-organized and more successful celebration of academic achievements.
