In a letter addressed to Kyambogo University community on 22nd August 2022, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Eli Katunguka highlighted on the end of semester examination and graduation dates.
The examinations will commence on 5th September 2022 and graduation for the 2020/2021 finalists is scheduled to take place from 7th to 9th December 2022.
In the same letter, the Vice Chancellor warned staff members who might be tempted to work with students to change their marks in ACMIS.
“Any member of staff who will be found to be working with students or anyone within or without the university to change students’ marks in ACMIS will be severely punished. Those with passwords allowing you to access ACMIS must not reveal your passwords to anyone else. If marks are changed as a result, you the owner of the password will be held responsible. No academic staff member is allowed to contact the Academic Registrar’s staff regarding marks of any student. Please marks are not initiated. They are earned,” the VC cautioned.
It is still unclear on which grounds the Vice Chancellor made this serious caution.
Still with regard to graduation, the Deans of faculties and heads of department were requested to come up with graduation lists as early as possible preferably by the end of September to allow those who may have issues to address them.
Finalists awaiting graduation are therefore advised to follow up this subject keenly and keep updated to make sure they may correct issues in case they don’t appear on the lists.
