Makerere University 74th graduation ceremony rages on with today marking the 4th day of the celebrations coming to a close on Friday, 2nd February, 2024.
Thousands have already attained the status of “graduate” with a few more waiting to collect their academic awards.
Today is MUBS day, and quite a thrill for the institution as 13 graduands received doctorates in various disciplines.
These include;
MUBS also witnessed several staff members graduate with Masters degrees during the colorful ceremony at Makerere University Freedom Square.
At the event, MUBS Ag Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi commended the effort of his team that ensured that graduands make it thus far.
“I’d like to appreciate MUBS staff and the MUBS council for the support rendered to our students to enable them reach this milestone today. congratulations and may God bless your journey,” he stated.
It should be remembered that overall, female students at MUBS have outshone their male counterparts on the Makerere University 74th Graduation first-class list. 62% of first-class holders being female.
According to the registrar’s office at MUBS, a higher number of female students are set to graduate with first-class bachelor’s degrees compared to their male peers across all MUBS campuses.
Also, of the total 12,913 students graduating from the 74th convocation, 6,816 are female and 6,097 are male.
