Makerere University has strengthened the security ahead of the 72nd graduation that commenced this morning.
The event is expected to be graced by President Yoweri Museveni and the first lady who doubles as the minister of Education and Sports, Ms. Janet Museveni.
Apparently, all routes heading to the freedom square are cordoned off and for anyone to access the university premises, must posses a valid university identity card for students, and a national identity card for non students.
Jubilant graduands have already started flooding the venue.
Makerere University 72nd graduation ceremony will run from today May 23 until Friday, 27th May.
