Uganda Christian University (UCU) Bishop Barham University College Kabale celebrated the academic achievements of 561 graduands during its 25th graduation ceremony held at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Rugarama Grounds in Kabale on Friday, November 15, 2024.
The event, themed “The Hidden Curriculum: Inescapable Biases in Education Curricula,” marked the third part of the university’s graduation exercises, with degrees conferred across various disciplines.
Of the total graduands, 287 (51%) were female, while 274 (49%) were male. Also, three students stood out by achieving first-class honors.
They include Allen Tayebwa, who obtained a CGPA of 4.73 in Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration, Tumweboneire Kenneth with a CGPA of 4.49 in Bachelor of Education, and Ndamwesiga Osiber, who earned a CGPA of 4.41 in Bachelor of Education.
Addressing the graduates, UCU Chancellor, His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, celebrated the remarkable achievements of the students and the dedication of the university’s staff, lauding the institution’s excellent processes.
The graduation ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honor, Dr. Samuel Mugasi, the Executive Director of the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS).
