The Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS), through the Office of the Dean, announced an exciting opportunity for 4th-year medical students to apply for clinical rotations abroad.
These placements are part of a student exchange program aimed at exposing students to diverse healthcare systems and practices worldwide.
In an official circular dated October 7, 2024, signed by Associate Prof. Mark KadduMukasa, Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine, students meeting specific criteria are encouraged to apply for placements in universities like Cambridge (UK), Yale (USA), and Karolinska Institutet (Sweden).
The fully and partially funded programs will allow students to gain hands-on experience in global health settings.
Eligible students must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.6 or above, be progressing without retakes, and submit a detailed application including a personal statement, CV, and academic reference.
Applications must be submitted by October 18, 2024, to the to the international coordination office (MakCHS) or/and sent on email Internationaloffice.cits@mak.ac.ug.
