Steven Muki, a student of Uganda Christian University (UCU)– Arua campus and resident of Mena village in Koboko was on 2nd August murdered as he returned home from watching a football match.
The latest development on this incident is that Police in Koboko have arrested nine people who are attached to the brutal murder of the deceased, Muki who doubled as the office supervisor of the municipality.
Koboko District Police Commander, Samuel Abwang confirmed the arrests and said that they were still investigating the case further and searching for more culprits.
“Some people are having telephone conversations, telling the criminals to run. They will be apprehended and charged with cyber-crimes,” Abwang warned.
It is reported that the incident originated from a land conflict case between the the late Muki’s family and his clanmates where the deceased acted as a middle man in resolving the disputes.
