Police has issued a terror alert indicating that alshabab maybe focusing to bomb top universites in Kampala. These Universities include Makerere, Kyambogo, MUBS, Ndejje, KIU, Mutesa Rroyal, among others
Police Spokes person Judith Nabakooba says that the police have received information of a roaming planned terror attack on Educational institutions with a focus on universities in Kampala and across the country this week.
“As Police, we request proprietors of education institutions to give support to our personnel who are going to be deployed in the respective places,” Nabakooba adds
She encourages members of the public to exercise vigilance and work with Police to ensure total security at such educational institutions and other public places during this season.
However, there should be no panic or fear.
