The Basoga Nseete fraternity of Kyambogo University were once again crowned the winners of the 12th annual Kyambogo annual cultural gala that was concluded on Sunday. They have won it for the second time, consecutively.
The Basoga Nseete emerged winners after dominating almost in all activities which included folk songs, cultural dances, fashion shows, singing of the Kyambogo Anthem among others.
The event that kicked off on the October 13th was concluded with joy and celebrations as they were crowning the various winners in the respective activities with the Bakonjo emerging runner ups and Baganda taking the third spot. Mr and Mrs culture were also recognised.
The winners were awarded one million shillings, a bull, and a trophy whereas certificates were given out to various outstanding participants.
Speaking to the patron of The Basoga Nseete, Mr Zakaria, he told Campus Bee that it has been the determination and teamwork that aided their victory and that they won’t stop defending their first place position.
The day was climaxed with various music and dance performances and also a dance till late in the night.
