Today Monday 17th May marked the beginning of the five-day Makerere University 71st graduation ceremony which will see a total of 12,550 graduands secure degrees and diplomas during this blended function.
Just like we have been doing for the past years, we still couldn’t look away when young graduands from Makerere University flooded the internet with dope shots as they celebrated their big day.
Most graduands, who attended the ceremony virtually took to their social platforms to share pictures while rocking their gowns despite missing a chance to grace the Freedom Square. Only PhD graduands, Masters’ Degree graduands and first Class Honours Degree Graduands were allowed to go to the university for the long awaited graduation.
Today the Chancellor Prof Ezra Suruma conferred degrees and awarded diplomas to students from the colleges of; College of Natural Sciences, College of Health Sciences and School of Law.
