Following the disappearance of Mukisa Joshua William, a Makerere University Law Student (third year), singer and Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has come out to join the search for the missing People Power die hard.
Through his social media platform, Kyagulanyi has tasked his legal team to assist in the tracing of Mukisa, who contested in the previous guild elections under People Power ticket. The People Power leader also called upon the authorities to confirm if Mukisa is behind bars and if so, he should be released immediately.
“We are very concerned about the news indicating that our friend and former Makerere University Guild aspirant, Mukisa Joshua William has been missing for days- to a point of missing his exams. This is very troubling. I am praying and hoping that wherever he is, he is safe and well. In the meantime, we implore the authorities to ensure that if he is in their custody, he is released forthwith. If he is not, they should make every effort to ascertain where he is. I have accordingly requested our legal team to follow up and assist in the effort to trace him. If anyone has information regarding his whereabouts, kindly relay the same to us or to the authorities.” Kyagulanyi’s Facebook post reads.
According to students and close friends, Mukisa has been missing for four days after allegedly receiving threatening calls telling him to denounce People Power. More reports confirm that his official phones were found abandoned in his room, something that has raised suspicion and fear.
Mukisa also missed his end of semester paper (Principles of International Law II) that was sat yesterday morning.
