Yesterday, we reported about a Makerere student named Lwanga Fisal who is running for the position of LC1 Chairman in Lumumba Village, in University (Makerere) Parish, Kawempe Division. We have managed to scoop more exclusive information from Lwanga’s camp regarding his intentions to run for the LC1 position.
Lwanga has informed Campus Bee that he was inspired by Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine to join politics. Feel surprised yet? Lwanga has also revealed that his campaign symbol is a clock just like Bobi Wine’s.
The Lumumba student is also an independent candidate who believes to be the best among his other two competitors. Like Bobi Wine, Lwanga says that he will try to lobby for the unemployed youths staying in Lumumba Village.
When asked about what he intends to benefit from the least paid position in the Ugandan government, Lwanga revealed that he received information that the LC1 salary will be boosted from 120k per year to 300k or 400k per month, “They are going to gazette and we shall be earning roughly 300,000 or 400,000 UGX per month,” Lwanga revealed.
Lwanga is not willing to settle for less as he further revealed that he is aiming for 2021 politics and he will be contesting as an LC3 Counselor for Kawempe division.“I want to be in corridors of power and I will be coming as LC3 Counselor 2021 Kawempe division,” the ambitious third year student told this website.
