Shahali Mugamba, the shortest student at Islamic University in Uganda, Mbale has been elected guild president.
Billed the shortest student at IUIU, Shahali is 27 years old.

The second year computer science student polled 653 votes beating fellow colleagues, Mohamed Dahir Dagane who garnered 562 votes and Katende Jamaldin who got 556 votes.
Celebrations rocked the Mbale based campus thereafter and Mr. Shahali was whisked away lifted by his campaign manager. The celebrations lasted for a very short time as police and Security Officers interrupted as they forcefully took away the people’s choice hiding him in the staff quarters because he was being swayed a lot and that he had asthma which would cause his death.
