- Igoe Sheila has been confirmed dead a few hours ago by her family members. Her body was identified at City Mortuary, Mulago.
Igoe, second year student at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) offering a Bachelors degree in Business Administration was last seen on Wednesday (14th March) night at around 2am in the vicinity of her hostel, Ideal Platinum in Nakawa.
Since then, all efforts to reach her by her friends and family through her known mobile number were futile as it remained switched off. Frantic efforts by family reach her would later lead them to City Mortuary, Mulago in search of her body where she was found lying lifeless.
Igoe, according to friends, is believed to have been involved in an accident on the fateful night although Campus Bee could not independently verify this information. We are waiting for an official postmoterm to be performed to discover the actual cause of death.
This is the second MUBS student to pass away in a period of 2 days after Julie Nambatya, a third year student that drowned on Sunday evening during a boat cruise in Jinja.
More details about Igoe’s death and burial arrangements to follow.
