Entebbe based Nkumba university on-campus students are on strike. They are pelting stones at the kitchen staff over poor feeding. The students accuse the staff [instead of the university administration] of feeding them on the same diet without a change, every semester. “We are tired of beans,posho,matooke,potatoes and cawo (peas) all the time. We need some beef.. tukooye,” an angry student is heard complaining, he pelts a light stone and instantly runs off.
The university security guards are trying to to quell the strike but the angry students are almost beating them up. No kitchen staff is hurt since they have locked themselves in the kitchen. Police is not yet here. Keep it Campusbee for up-to-the-minute updates in regards to this strike.
