Mukono, April 21, 2026 — A young medical student, Peter Tulilinya, has been killed in a suspected attack by a group of assailants believed to have been armed with paving stones in Seeta, Mukono District.
Preliminary reports indicate that Tulilinya encountered the group under unclear circumstances before he was struck during the assault. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the medical community, where colleagues described him as a dedicated student with a promising future.
“Very unfortunate to lose such a young man with so much potential. It is a loss not only to his family but to the nation,” said Peter Dusabe, a colleague.
By press time, members of the medical fraternity were organizing support to assist with burial arrangements.
Authorities had not yet released an official statement, but investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing are ongoing.
