Makerere University Innovation Pod (Mak-UniPod) in collaboration with Kiira Motors Corporation has availed a skilling programme for Makerere University students.
This learning opportunity targets students in their second and third years to apply for a specialized One-Year “Skilling Program in Electric Mobility and Associated Technologies.”
The program is expected to equip students with hands-on experience and skills in the emerging field of electric mobility.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be in their second or third year of study and should have obtained a first-class or upper second-class degree.
- Eligible fields of study include Electrical, Biomedical, Software, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
- Female students are strongly encouraged to apply.
The application process involves submitting an online application through the provided QR code by 18th August 2024.
Mak-UniPod was unveiled in January this year in partnership with the UNDP Timbaktoo Africa Initiative, to support such programmes which foster the development of sustainable technologies in Uganda.
