Students across the country are in a mixed mood after the President ordered for the closure of schools once again raising some kind of de ja vu of the events that happened in March, last year.
To mention, a section of finalists in these universities have expressed dis-content with the resolutions from the presidential address. This they say, is “holding back” their progress to complete their respective programmes. (We dearly stand with them in this tough time)
On the other side of the situation, non-finalists seem to be having the loudest laugh according to the reactions our snoops have compiled. The lockdown “got nothing” on these lads. Schools closure seemingly sounds better than a mobile money message.
Schools closure has rained down a ripple effect on a section of Universities that were in the process of End of Semester exams such as Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Our contacts at this ankole-based campus indicate that they were left with at most 4 papers, to shut down the semester. But now that the lockdown is here, that means, they’ll have to revise from scratch for the remaining exams, when they return in the event that schools are re-opened after the 42 days.
Makerere University is no exception, as non-finalists were kicking off their end of semester exams today, only to sink into the closure.
Below, we have compiled a number of posts, tweets and anything you can imagine concerning the closure of schools. Gaze away:
