Comedian and TV West presenter, Muhereza Valentine aka Kachaina has withdrawn from Bishop Stuart University Guild elections before apologizing to his supporters.
According to a statement shared on the comedian’s social platforms, he is fixed with research, in addition to his ever-increasing gigs.
However, some students on ground have intimated to this writer that the comedian could not risk being embarrassed after losing the elections. It is said that he was scared of weakening his brand in case the results do not favour him come 17th November.
According to analysts, this leaves FDC’s Twijukye Colleb in the lead ahead of polling day ( 17th November 2021).
“Dear members, please accept this letter as my formal resignation from contesting as Guild president Bishop Stuart University year 2021-22. First, I would like to take the time to thank everyone who had pledged their support through as I was preparing to join the campaigns.” Kachaina’s statement reads in part.
“However, after careful consideration and consultations, basing on the fact that besides the already tight schedule of the studies, internship and research, am also employed, working with Tv West, and also a comedian featuring in many dramas shown on Tv , Adverts, Influencing in different NGOs, that need much more time for preparation. I realized I might not be in position to also serve in a capacity I would wish, In case I went on to win the elections.” Kachaina added.
The TV West scribe further vowed to support any candidate with capability to lead before reassuring his love for Bishop Stuart University.
