The Ministry of Education and Sports is often equipped with numerous scholarship opportunities from across the globe.
These opportunities are meant to enhance the quality of education in the country through enabling learners to experience a different environment and acquire better skills.
The latest development from the Ministry indicates that the Government of China is open to sponsoring various academicians for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
“Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan Scholars to pursue studies at Masters and Undergraduate levels in Chinese Universities for 2023/2024 Academic Year,” Ministry of Health advertised.
Currently, students interested in the following programmes will be considered;
- Undergraduate Level
- Civil Engineering – 02
- Masters Level
- Epidemiology and Bio Statistics – 04
- Architecture – 03
- Mechanical Engineering – 04
Eligibility
- Applicants for the Undergraduate programmes must have scored a minimum of two ‘C’s’ in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and must have completed ‘A’ Level in 2018, 2019 or 2020
- Applicants for the Masters Degree should hold at least an Upper Second-Class Honors degree in the relevant field.
- Applicants for the Masters Degree must have at least two years or more working experience in the relevant field.
- Applicants must not be more than 25 years of age for Undergraduate and not more than 35 years ofage for Masters at the time of application.
- Must have a valid biometric Passport
- Those admitted on Government Scholarships/ Sponsorship should not apply.
