After bringing you the story of the Olympia Hostel incident between a one Swabrin Ali and the security guard only known as Muzei yesterday, the former has reached out to us to furnish us with details of the fight and why he whooped the poor askari’s butt in front of other students.
Swabrin says that his torubles with Muzei date back to about a year and a half when he tried to challenge and question the askari about taking money from students.
He says that at the time he was still a resident at Olympia and this had raised a lot of concern among the residents. The askari didn’t take this well and reported Swabrin to the police on grounds that he was harassing him and trying to kill him.
On Sunday Swabrin got a call from a friend at Olympia who was sick and needed someone to help him to the hospital. So he drove there however when the askari saw him he swore not to open the gate.
“He actually stated and I quote; I would rather be dead than let you enter this hostel” Swabrin narrated.
According to Swabrin, his efforts to reason with Muzei fell on deaf ears and he instead called police to report that his ‘sworn enemy’ was back.
He then decided to use the back entrance which is near the swimming pool and made his way to the front gate because he had left his car outside.
But apparently when he got to the front gate to ask the askari to let his car in and also sign in with his ID, that’s when the askari actually picked out a metallic stick to beat him up and this led to a physical fight between the two. The bystanders tried to intervene in order to separate the two and that’s when he (Swabrin) was able to access his friend.
Efforts to reach out to Muzei were futile as he didn’t want to publicly talk about the incident.
