Today, during the first Community worship this semester at Uganda Christian University [UCU] Mukono, Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, the Chancellor of UCU, who is on his pastoral visit hit out at the moral decay at other universities (especially Makerere University). During his preaching, he said that “the kind of paralysis like sex for marks heard from other Universities should never be heard there (UCU).” Rev Stanley Ntagali further advised the student community at the Mukono based campus to repent and be the change of transformation.
His remarks come after a sex for marks scandal at Makerere University making headlines in tabloids for weeks now. Last week, a lecturer at Makerere was nabbed pants down with a third year student in his office. Ntagali warned the UCU student community against such acts.
“This University (UCU), is the pride of the Church of Uganda, please keep it up,” Ntagali praised his campus. He was also given the UCU sports T-shirt yesterday after addressing the sports teams of UCU during his pastoral visit.
Apart from UCU (Uganda Christian University) being the first University in East Africa to establish a post graduate program in Nursing, the University was also ranked number one with the best sports facilities.
