Kabale University is mourning yet again the lose of one of its own students who was pronounced dead on Saturday.
The deceased a one Mukisa Franko was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology at the Faculty of Computing Library and Information Sciences and was in his third year of study at the time of death.
Reports indicate that Mukisa succumbed to blood cancer which he had been battling with for awhile. The deceased died at Mulago hospital where he had been bedridden.
Kabale University confirmed the loss of Mukisa in a Sunday tweet, sending condolences to all the bereaved.
“We are mourning the tragic loss of our student, Mukisa Franko, a 3rd year student of Bachelor of Information Technology. Our hearts go out to the family, relatives,friends and the entire Kabale University guild,” the tweet reads.
Mukisa will be laid to rest on Monday, July 17th, 2023, at his ancestral home in Karuguuza Village, Kibaale District.
Mukisa’s death follows that of Seith Ampumuza who died last Saturday bringing the death toll to two in a week. Ampumuza was a Bachelor of Business Administration student in his 3rd year.
