Just a few minutes after the Minister for Education and sports announced the opening of Makerere University tomorrow, she has showered the striking students with lunch at the Office of the Prime Minister.
The students who are now probably seated in the same chair the Prime Minister sits in to have his meals are now singing praises to the New Education Minister.
“Museveni could not have chosen a better Education Minister. This one will effectively solve our problems,” Simon Lutaaya one of the students commented.
This all happened following the non-teaching staff strike that had caused all public Universities to be closed. The agitated students of Makerere had gone to the Prime Ministers Office to air their complaints when Janet Museveni paid for their breakfast and topped it all off with Lunch for all when an agreement was reached.
After all as one of the students commented, “A strong struggle deserves a strong meal.”
