Bill Lwanga, a notorious thief and former Makerere University student was last night arrested for allegedly robbing clean a city band named ‘Milege Uganda’. According to information posted on the band’s Facebook page, Lwanga, who happens to be their former member too stole the company’s computers and back-up drives.
“He organised and actively participated in robbing our premises. He made off with company computers and back up drives with information worth a fortune and paralysed company operations and caused massive loss to the entity.” Milege posted.
Lwanga, who studied music at the Milege Acoustic Project for three years found no trouble robbing his mentors clean. The post further explains that Lwanga has stolen from countless offices, individuals and studios using his gentle identity.
“Bill has stolen from countless offices, individuals and studios. He specialised in robbing from arts entities because he is an artist himself. He changes appearance after each encounter ,he speaks English, kiswahili and Luganda equally well, he plays the guitar and sings and also makes leather bags. He is a smooth talker.”
The Police have not yet issued any statement regarding Lwanga’s arrest last night but we can authoritatively confirm that the former Makerere student spent his night in coolers.
