In a meeting held on Wednesday, 3rd March, 2021 between the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Principal Prof Waswa Balunywa and student leaders, it was decided that students will be reporting weekly on a rotational basis as opposed to the four weeks earlier announced by the institution.
The student leaders raised a number of reasons ranging from the impossible online learning to the unfriendly learning environment at home, among others.
The university has now released a new schedule indicating when students will be reporting on campus for lectures and when they are expected to do their tests, not forgetting the online bit.
The university further decided to make special arrangements for students pursuing practical courses who are expected to study on campus fully. The practical courses include; Bachelor of Business Computing, Bachelor of office and Information Management, as well as Bachelor of Catering and Hospitality Management.
According to the MUBS learning schedule that this website has obtained, second year students will report on campus for face to face lectures from 5th April to 10th April while year three students will study physically from 29th March to 4th April 2021.
Freshers, who have been studying on campus since 1st March will be learning online until 26th April when they will report for face to face studies again, according to the new schedule;
