It was speech from speech with lots of formalities from the guild cabinet. The students maintained their cool as they awaited what else the guild had in store from them. With so much publicity before the event, students anticipated a fun filled night from the guild.
In a bid to make the freshers feel at home, the guild cabinet on Friday evening made happen a concert at the basketball court that brought around scores of artists and sponsors that graced the event with great performances.
A special presentation from the guild government excited the students when their leaders displayed numerous dance strokes that put smiles and laughter to many faces.
A selection from a number of guild officials was called onto the stage one at a time to display their customized dance moves.
Amidst the fun and festive mood came a preacher that turned the moment into a preach session, conveniently testifying how he gave his life to Christ on his way to Ange Noir one night.
“How many of you are now ready to give their lives to Christ” almost giving students second thoughts about going to the bar later that evening. He preached satisfying students expectations of the Christian Institution.
There was also a number of performances from artists-gospel artists such as Ivan TIT, Lady Shen, Ruyonga among others.
The performances from many of the artists did not make such an impression until Ruyonga came onto the stage. With lots of excitement students mimed in unison to his famous melodies such as Tutuse, Mwawulire and Ru that got students to their feet. Climaxing the event, Ruyonga brought out the groove within the students who concealed their humble selves and revealed a wild side that is only typical of Casa and Hive.
The event ended in a session where some of the sponsors gave gifts wrapped in yellow bags to the guild cabinet for the outstanding role it has already played in making a positive change to the society. There were however some occurrences of exceptional beings from the students snatching these bags from the sponsors causing chaos and havoc on the court.
In the end, many were left impressed, and resorted to their respective areas of domicile, while the unimpressed crowned the evening with an extension of the event at their favorite hangouts.
