Higher Education Students Financing Board (HESFB) has opened a window to attend to all lot 1 students’ loan scheme appeals for the candidates that missed out on the funds.
Dissatisfied parties have been advised to lodge their appeals through the entity’s website at https://t.co/xhds9nDrD6 . HESFB has set January 19 as the deadline for the appeals.
Last week, HESFB released the first batch of successful loan scheme beneficiaries for the academic year 2021/2022. Out of 4797 applicants, 3926 were approved and at least 920 of these will benefit from this year’s loan scheme. These include 735 undergraduate students at degree level, 65 at diploma level while 120 of these are continuing students in their final year of study.
The Higher Education Students’ Financing Board (HESFB) is a statutory body established by The Higher Education Students’ Financing Act, No. 2 of 2014 with a mandate to provide Loans and Scholarships to Ugandan students seeking to pursue Higher Education.
