Below are the easy steps on how to apply for a course online at Kyambogo University without stepping foot at the university premises.

Step 1 – Create an account

To create an account visit the official Kyambogo University website and click on the ‘Apply Now’ menu option. You can also get the same page by clicking any ‘Sign Up’ button on the website.

The sign up page has a form containing several fields that you are required to fill before proceeding to the next stage. Below are the fields.

Email address:  This must be a valid email address because it will be required for account activation.

Full Name: In this field you are required to fill in your official names fully as they appear on your other academic documents.

Password: Choose a unique password most preferably one that you do not use on other websites. The password should be at least 8 characters long. Please note that this password must be known by only you for security purposes.

After filling the fields with correct information, continue by clicking the ‘Create account’ button. An email will be sent to the email address you provided. Log into your email account and check ‘inbox’ for an email from Kyambogo University. In case you do not see the email, check your spam folder.

Open the email and click on the activation link in that same email. If the link is not clickable, copy the entire link and paste it in your bowser.


The link will take you to an activation page to complete the process. To finalize the activation, enter your password in the space provided and click the ‘Activate My Account’ button. This will take you to a login page and that’s it! You have created an account for all Kyambogo University admissions. You may continue by providing your email and password to login.

Step 2 – Fill in the forms.

Your first login will take you to your dashboard, please make sure you have read all the important notes to avoid inconveniences.

Add form: Click the ‘Add Form’ button to reveal the admission scheme selection drop-down . Only running schemes will be displayed in the drop-down for you to select. If the scheme you want to apply for is not displayed, you will have to wait until it is announced.

After selecting your preferred scheme, click ‘Continue’ to proceed filling the form.

Fill in your form: You can now start filling in the form with correct information. It is important to note that only one form is accepted per applicant, per admission scheme.  You will be guided while entering correct data because the correctness of your data decides whether you will be admitted to Kyambogo University or not.

Step 3 – Pay for forms.

Finally you have to pay for your form! You simply have to follow the three steps shown above. No form will be considered for admission if it is not paid for.

Select Pay: To initiate payment, go to your dashboard and click ‘Pay Now’ against the form you want to pay for. This will take you to the payment page containing details of the form you want to pay for.

Click on the ‘Print Payslip’ button to proceed with printing your payslip.

Print Payslip: Your generated payslip will now be ready for printing. Just click on the ‘Print’ button on that page and you are good to go.

Print out your payslip and pay the indicated amount in an appropriate bank. Currently only Stanbic and DFCU are supported.

After payment, you should be able to receive a notification SMS and email confirming the receipt of your payment. If you do not receive any SMS, please check your dashboard. The form payment status should be ‘PAID’.
