The Principal of Makerere University Business School Prof. Wasswa Balunywa has this morning conducted a freshers orientation program at the school’s main campus in Nakawa where he welcomed the students to the mighty institute. “You are lucky to be among the chosen few to join such an institute. Please use this opportunity to the fullest. You’ve not come here to pass exams but rather get a qualification that will enable you to live a better life.”he said.
He further urged the new entrants to be cautious about sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS that are rampant in the youth today most especially those at university and also advised the students against engaging in activities that will negatively affect their academic life like doing drugs and smoking harmful substance so that they can attain the graduation goal.
“MUBS has nurtured and continues to nurture many of the prominent people in our society and beyond, we have a large cluster of alumni. We hope that you will raise our pride after you graduate and go out in the world,” he remarked.
The Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi also has encouraged students to maximally utilize the privileges provided by the university as a way of attaining a perfect academic performance.
