The latest information reaching the Campus Bee news desk indicates that President Yoweri Museveni will tomorrow Wednesday 18th call a press conference to announce the closure of schools, ban weddings, funerals, sports events, bars and restaurants in a bid to prevent the spread of Coronavirus which is now a pandemic.
According to veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda who some people believe to be Museveni’s secret adviser, Museveni will address the press tomorrow where he will deliver more information on what next.
“#COVID19 Breaking news: President Museveni will call a press conference tomorrow to announce the closure of schools, ban on weddings, funerals, sports events, bars and restaurants! Watch out for panic shopping; we shall soon be prisoners in our homes! I am leaving for Kanyandahi,” Mwenda said in a tweet.
It is also said that there is scarcity of sanitizers in Kampala supermarkets as everyone is grabbing something to prevent the deadly virus from attacking them. All East African countries have declared cases of Coronavirus apart from Uganda and prevention measures have strictly been put in pace.
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) yesterday sprayed all door knobs, handles and other items touched by several students in a bid to keep the virus out of the Nakawa-based campus.
The Virus, which started in China’s Wuhan City has already claimed thousands of lives despite efforts to have it managed to make sure that it does not spread further.
