The Kampala University main campus based in Kansanga has reportedly increased retake and special exam fees starting effective this semester.
Information reaching Campus Bee indicates that the Kansanga-based students will now be required to pay a whooping UGX 200,000 for retakes.
The University was initially charging UGX 50,000 for retakes over the past years until this year when the administration decided to hike it.
Another increment affects students who require a chance to re-sit an exam that they were unable to attend commonly known as ‘special exams’. The students who used to pay UGX 50,000 will now be required to pay UGX 100,000 starting with this semester if they wish to sit for special exams.
Our well-placed sources revealed that the Kampala University students haven’t done anything violent yet but they have on several occasions complained during lectures following the increment.
